DexProtector 8.1.31 Released

We are happy to announce the release of DexProtector 8.1.31 which supports all the latest development tools and frameworks, such as Unity 2017, Android 8.1 and Android Studio 3.

What is new in the 8.1.31?

  • Added a new default working mode for the Gradle Plugin which fixes issues with Gradle Daemon

  • Added string/string-array encryption (resources.arsc) (Enterprise)

Compatibility note: Starting from this version, DexProtector's Gradle Plugin launchs DexProtector as a separate process in order to avoid any conflicts with Gradle Daemon. If you are facing any issues, you might switch back to the old working mode by setting fork false in the DexProtector's options in your build.gradle, for example:

dexprotector {
  fork false

Important note: Starting from the next version of DexProtector, the support for Android 2.3 (all architectures) and ARM5 (all platforms) will be available as an additional option in DexProtector Enterprise.

Upgrade information: If you have a license for DexProtector 7.x and active support subscription, you can receive the upgrade at no additional cost (Standard->Standard, Enterprise->Enterprise). If your support subscription has been inactive for 1 month and more it is needed to acquire a new license. If you would like to upgrade from the Standard version to the Enterprise, please request an upgrade quote. To renew your support subscription, please contact the support.
